Obamacare. We've all heard this term being uttered by supporters and skeptics alike, across the country. Whether we've heard it discussed on CNN, read about it in an article, or seen a related post on our favorite social media website, we've all been exposed to the new Affordable Care Act. The one that forces U.S. Citizens to spend money on insurance that they may not need only to benefit those in need of health insurance. So why are we obligated to pay for healthcare if we don't need it?
I feel as though ObamaCare should be an option for US citizens to chose from. Not everybody needs health insurance and some people can't afford it, which is why citizens are having a hard time adjusting to this new affordable care act. Washington Post makes it clear that this new law causes problems for small businesses and insurance companies. It requires small businesses to pay for their employees insurance which they cannot afford and that only causes them to lose employees because they can't afford to pay them due to the fact that they have to pay for health insurance for each one of their employees and as a small business they don't make a lot of money. ObamaCare also hurts parents who had to make sacrifices just to make ends meet and now they have to pay for health insurance that they can't afford only to please those who need it. Insurance companies will soon be wiped out by this new affordable care act that they will soon go out of business which only cost more people to be without a job. I understand that this act will provide a way for citizens with health problems that have a hard time paying for hospital bills or doctor visits because they don't have insurance but what about the people who don't need health instance, do we make them suffer so everybody else can be happy? This new act was put in place with a certain group of people in mind, nobody stopped to think about the people who would be hurt by this act. Washington Post

Commentary on Obamacare
While I do favor Mr. President Obama, and for more reasons that one I also agree with student Jariah Powell. She explains that while Obamacare does benefit some, yet, a good portion of the U.S population will be affected in a negative way. The newly implemented Affordable Healthcare Program is suppose to be affordably reasonable to retain the insurance, but only for those who CAN afford it. She further elaborates, that those who are in perfect health are wondering why they are being penalized for the “Greater Good?” I agree with the fact that those in perfect health should not be obligated to pay for health insurance. Especially, if it is only to please others and if they personally do not feel that they have a need for it. I say, is paying all taxes, mandating upkeep on car insurance, and voting not enough? She then gives an example of possibly single parents that struggle to make end meet. They are now stuck with yet another expense. She also mentions the potential risks for small business owners that do not bring in a lot of revenue. Again, while I do still side with Mr. President, I do not think this plan was completely thought out. I think he had good intentions though.
I agree with Jariah U.S. Government blog post about Obama HealthCare program, because as much as this program make citizens with health problems happy, it will make people who don’t have health insurance suffering. As she mentions in the post that this program will affect small business companies because it will require them hard time to pay for their employees with health insurance and they can’t afford it since they are small business organization. It’s hard for small business owners to afford the requirement for this plan than the bigger business.
Employees start to worry about generous health plans for future penalty. One case that big company worry about the tax of this plan that’s doesn’t kick until 2018 which make these big company prepare for it form this now. Big companies worry from the tax obligations about the increase amount of this insurance
The opinion of most people is different from age to age. For example, some people between the ages of 20 to 35 years old are mostly the largest ratio of people who have rejected the idea of ObamaCare program, and most of them think that they might visit a doctor once a year and even don’t, so most of them refuse the thought and ignore the people who really need it.
The requirement have not get a lot of publicity from the Obama administration, that’s why many citizens and business don’t like Obama’s decision plan and many people especially who they affected in this plan. Going to the white house, on November the 14th as CBS News wrote, President Obama declared that the White house is letting the Americans keep canceled the health plan for another year. I think that was a good and wise decision from the government to help the Americans citizens adjust to the new ObamaCare health plan in the marketplace.
